Dorothy Dohanics
Dorothy J. Dohanics graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Supply Chain and Information Systems, as well as minor in the Legal Environment of Business. She was a Division 1 women’s tennis scholarship recipient, where she held the record for most wins in a college career. She attended the Duquesne University School of Law where she graduated with a Juris Doctorate in 2012 and was admitted to the practice of law in Pennsylvania in October of 2012.
Dorothy has handled a wide variety of civil matters including general negligence, medical negligence, wrongful death, personal injury, motor vehicle law, premises liability, Hepatitis C exposure and mass tort litigation prior to joining Harry S. Cohen & Associates in 2020.
Dorothy has been named as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2020 and 2021. Rising Stars are selected based on nominations by members of the elite Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list. This distinction is given to less than 2.5% of all lawyers in Pennsylvania.
Outside of the office, Dorothy and her husband, Jeremiah, own a basketball academy - home to many talented young basketball players. She enjoys traveling with her children for AAU basketball and USTA tennis events in her spare time.
