Mr. Cohen went on to earn his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2019 where he received the Murray S. Mr. Cohen spent his years in law school clerking for Harry S. Cohen & Associates before accepting a full-time position with the firm in 2019. Since joining the firm, Mr. Cohen has litigated medical malpractice cases in courts across Pennsylvania, successfully handling cases from inception through trial. He is actively involved in every stage of the case preparation, from investigating claims and working with medical experts to conducting depositions and advocating for clients in the courtroom.
Mr. Cohen has significant experience trying cases to verdict and has obtained substantial settlements on behalf of clients. In 2025, Mr. Cohen obtained the first medical malpractice verdict in Washington County since 2019 in a case involving a delay in diagnosing and treating a patient’s stroke. This was the largest medical malpractice verdict in Allegheny County since 2015. Mr. Cohen’s practice focuses on medical negligence, including birth injury, misdiagnoses, surgical errors, nursing home negligence, and wrongful death.
Mr. Cohen plays an active role in the legal community in Pittsburgh. He was selected as a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Bar Leadership Initiative Class of 2020-21 and was appointed to the ACBA YLD Scholarship Fund Selection and Planning Committee in 2022. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. Less than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members.
In his time outside of the office, Mr. Cohen coaches the mock trial team at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Mr. Cohen resides in Squirrel Hill with his wife, Danielle, and their son, Mason.
