Devon Malloy

Devon A. Malloy grew up in New Germany, Pennsylvania, just outside of Ebensburg. She attended college at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Political Communications. While in college, Devon attended a service-learning program in Cochabamba, Bolivia where she assisted in building community infrastructure while learning about radical political systems.

Following college, Ms. Malloy attended Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law where she was a merit-based scholarship recipient. While in law school, Ms. Malloy was an octofinalist in the Jerome W. Prince Memorial Evidence Moot Court Competition in Brooklyn, New York. She went on to serve as Administrative Justice on the Moot Court Executive Board and coached the Moot Court Evidence team. She also served as Vice Justice of Phi Alpha Delta.

After obtaining her law license in 2014, Ms. Malloy practiced civil litigation at firms in both Johnstown and Pittsburgh. Ms. Malloy has acquired experience in handling cases from initial pleadings to settlement or trial. She is familiar with drafting and arguing motions. She has also obtained successful experience in arguing before the Pennsylvania Superior Court.

Ms. Malloy has served as President of the Cambria County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. She has also served as Zone 12 Co-chair for the Pennsylvania Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. For most of her legal career, she has served as a Co-coordinator of the Pennsylvania Young Lawyers Division Mock Trial Program. She currently serves as a Board Member for the Richland Academy, near her hometown.

Ms. Malloy has had the opportunity to litigate cases through much of Western Pennsylvania including Allegheny, Bedford, Clearfield, Centre, Somerset, Westmoreland, Cambria, Blair, Butler and Washington county.

Since joining Harry S. Cohen & Associates, Devon has become immersed in handling medical malpractice cases at all stages of litigation. She has successfully incorporated her more generalized areas of practice into the representation of her medical malpractice clients’ cases.
