Ben Cohen

Benjamin Cohen grew up in Pittsburgh where he attended high school at Shady Side Academy. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland before working as a Lead Field Organizer for a Senatorial Candidate in Arkansas and helping to launch a new remote medication management technology for a pharmaceutical company in Maryland.

Mr. Cohen earned his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2019 where he was a member of the Mock Trial Team, the Commentary Section Editor for the online legal news service, JURIST, and a Supervising Editor for the Journal of Law and Commerce. Additionally, Mr. Cohen received the Murray S. Love Trial Competition Award and was inducted into the National Order of Barristers, which was based on his outstanding participation and performance as a student advocate.

Mr. Cohen spent his years in law school clerking for Harry S. Cohen & Associates before accepting a full-time position with the firm in 2019. Since that time, Mr. Cohen has gained significant civil litigation experience in many counties around Pennsylvania and obtained substantial settlements on behalf of clients. Mr. Cohen handles a multitude of civil matters including, birth injury, misdiagnosis, surgical errors, nursing home negligence, and wrongful death.

Mr. Cohen was selected as a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Bar Leadership Initiative Class of 2020-21 and was appointed to the ACBA YLD Scholarship Fund Selection and Planning Committee. Mr. Cohen was elected as the Male Democratic Committee Member for the 25th District of the 14th Ward in 2022. Mr. Cohen resides in Squirrel Hill with his wife, Danielle.
